5 sec Network ID done at IF, directed by Brian Mah. This was a great concept which came alive with an impeccable execution by director Brian Mah. One of the best shoots ever to witness. James Anderson and I were responsible for comping the shot elements together with cg elements and creating any kind of secondary animation and FX.

Fun full CG project done at IF. We had a big crew on this one, everyone got their hands dirty. My props go out to Hai Ho, Hao, Young Sung, Billy and director Ronnie Kauf, as well the flame love from Rod Basham.
I was responsible for setting up a bunch fruit, animation and rendering. Of course some trouble shooting like always. I still can’t believe we did all this in buggy Maya 8.5. Hopefully my last encounter with that ancient tool.

See below some work in progress animation. The second clip shows some real grass footage, which was the initial idea for this spot.

Friday Night Lights Season 2

This is round 2 of Friday Night Lights, and I had the privilage to work with Iron Claw again.
My props go out to our small team of artist: Sean, Sal and Andy on the flame. Very smooth sailing on this commercial, and it turn out gorgeous.

Stereoscopic

The 3D wave finally made it to my workstation. I was able to use Maya 2009 and all its stereoscopic glory in the titles and vision sequences.

Making 3D 3D, twice as much rendering, comping and quality checking.
